Hi! Thanks for visiting my website. My name is Andrew Chenovick, and I'm the guy behind the Flying A name. More on that
here.
I've had a camera in my hands since I was a youngster, and always had lots of fun taking photos and creating silly videos. I got my first "serious" still camera in high school: a 35mm Pentax K-1000 SLR. Once I found out what I could do with a good camera and good optics, I was hooked.
Fast forward to today. I spent 8 years working for a classic car parts company called West Coast Classic Cougar doing product photography, video production and graphics design, while I restored my own 1968 Cougar in my spare time. Many of the Mercury Cougar photos you'll see in my Cars gallery were done for this job, or as an extension of it. It's was a great experience and opportunity for growth. While there, I published several calendars of my classic Cougar photos, and successfully marketed and sold several classic cars using my photos and videos. I soon realized I was on to something.
Thanks to my experiences as a hobbyist and a professional, I was ready to start offering my services to the general public. That's when I launched this website and brand. You may have noticed that cars are my specialty, but I've occasionally done other subjects including portraits, products, and locations.
My goal with Flying A Photography is to create beautiful, lasting images & videos, and to always keep improving. It feels great to see the results of great images, especially when a seller of a car gets more than they were hoping for. My favorite part of this kind of work is the moment I can step back from the finished product and say, "wow!" I take pride in that, and I like to think that it shows.
Have a look through my galleries, and feel free to
get in touch. Thanks for reading!
Andrew
