Hi! Thanks for visiting my website. My name is Andrew Chenovick, and I'm the guy behind the Flying A name. More on that here.
I've had a creative eye and a camera in my hands since I was a youngster, and always had lots of fun taking photos and crafting videos. I got my first "serious" still camera in high school: a 35mm Pentax K-1000 SLR. Once I found out what I could do with a good camera and good optics, I was hooked.
After college in Montana, I spent 8 years working for a classic car parts company in Oregon called West Coast Classic Cougar, photographing products and cars, producing website graphics and marketing emails, shooting and editing video content, all while fully restoring my own 1968 Mercury Cougar in my spare time. While there, I published several calendars of my photos, and successfully marketed and sold several classic cars using my photos and videos. I soon realized I was on to something.
My career then took me to Moss Motors in California, a much larger classic car parts company, where I started as a Digital Designer and grew into the role of Creative Lead, helping guide a team of multidisciplinary creatives to aid in all of our marketing efforts.
Flying A Photography is simply a passion project; an endeavor that allows me to continue my love for photography, with an emphasis on cars, and to create beautiful, lasting images & videos. It feels great to see the results of great images. My favorite part of this kind of work is the moment I can step back from the finished product and say, "wow!" I take pride in that, and I like to think that it shows.
Have a look through my galleries, and feel free to get in touch. Thanks for reading!
Andrew
